Who We Want

The Billing Service Specialist will research, resolve, and answer advisory billing-related questions from internal stakeholders of Carson as well as Partner Offices that Carson serves. This includes questions and research on AUM fees, financial planning fees, reject notifications, and other Carson fee-related questions and inquiries. The Billing Service Specialist must be able to work well under tight deadlines.

What To Expect

• Resolve and answer simple and complex billing-related issues and questions
• Act as subject matter expert on Carson billing processes related to AUM fees, financial planning fees, insurance commissions, fee rejections, and other fee-related topics to help provide service to our Partners based on the core values of Carson
• Coordinate and resolve any billing escalations with Carson’s service team
• Provide backup as needed to the billing operations team
• Assist as requested by leadership to enhance processes, procedures, and reports to monitor activity, ensure accuracy, streamline processes, and enhance efficiencies with billing processes
• Participate as requested by leadership in cross-departmental strategic initiatives to help drive continuous improvement at Carson

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar field of study or equivalent experience is preferred
• Previous advisory billing experience is preferred
• Knowledge of Orion billing system is helpful
• Salesforce reporting experience is helpful
